Atlantic City runs some kind of event nearly every month, but the size and frequency shift a lot with the season. Here's the general rhythm our events team tracks when guests ask what's happening during their dates.

Late Spring: Kickoff Weekends

May and early June bring the season's first big Boardwalk crowds — food truck festivals and the first outdoor concert series of the year, usually timed around Memorial Day weekend.

Summer: The Full Calendar

June through August is when the event calendar is busiest. Expect weekly outdoor concerts, fireworks on a regular cadence over the ocean, and a run of culinary festivals that pull in restaurants from up and down the shore. If you're booking a summer trip around a specific event, confirm the date directly with the venue — outdoor schedules shift with weather more than guests expect.

Early Fall: The Marathon & Beach Season Send-Off

September brings a noticeable dip in daily foot traffic but a few marquee weekends, including a Boardwalk running event that draws visitors from well outside the region. Hotel rates during marathon weekend run higher than a typical September date, so book ahead if that's your target.

The biggest scheduling mistake we see is guests assuming the summer concert calendar carries into September — most of it wraps by Labor Day.

Winter: Quieter, But Not Empty

December brings holiday lighting along the Boardwalk and a handful of indoor events, since the outdoor concert season is over by then. This is also when our gaming floor and dining rooms run their own calendar of tournament weekends and chef's-table nights, independent of the outdoor Boardwalk schedule.
